Credit Analyst - Assistant Manager

  • Discuss with appropriate staff all aspects of each item of credit exposure.
  • Monitor daily all obligor and country exposures to ensure that they are within credit policy and approval limits.
  • Manage the administration of the credit function.
  • Prepare all recommended preapproved credit limits for annual review by the Risk Committee.
  • Keep under continuous review all preapproved or other limits for appropriateness in the light of developments in the credit standing of all obligors.
  • Bring all credit excesses to the attention of the Manager, Credit and Credit Officer immediately.
  • Be aware at all times of all matters that might give rise to credit quality declines of obligors or countries.
  • Manage the account opening process, verifying the accuracy of the information to be used, checking the regulated status of financial institutions or the incorporated status of companies to ensure the suitability of the customer.
  • Review and set industry limits, in conjunction with the Manager, Credit and Credit Officer, and regularly check compliance with those limits.
  • Prepare industry studies as required.

Profile
Financial Services

Relevant experience gained in an analytical credit role within a financial institution or similar.

Good communication and excellent written skills, as well as sound interpersonal skills alongside a high level of IT literacy,

Degree level education &/or relevant professional qualifications.
