Do you have manufacturing experience that you want to build on? An exciting opportunity as a laser operator in Pocklington has just become available with full training provided If you are looking for your next role in manufacturing, we would love to hear from you.


You will be responsible for:

  • Operating and maintaining laser machinery for sheet metal fabrication.
  • Collaborating with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Inspecting materials for size, thickness, and grade, ensuring adherence to specifications.
  • Load and unload sheet materials and cut parts onto the laser machine (heavy manual handling involved)
  • Debur and finish parts after cutting, maintaining strict quality standards.

Requirements:


  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality work.
  • GCSE maths and English.
  • Full driving license.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Good level of fitness to do manual handling.
  • Previous experience using Fibre Laser Machinery and Nesting software is desirable.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£23,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
