Description
We are partnered with a £65m turnover Supply Chain driven FMCG group based in Wilmslow who have seen at least 25% organic (non-acquisition) growth YoY over the past few years, and have ambitious plans to grow to £100m within 12-18 months.
In order to prepare the company for such a rapid rate of growth, the group have tasked the Financial Controller with implementing a new ERP, and as such they are looking for a Finance Manager to take over the day-to-day management of the finance team, witha view to themselves progressing into a Financial Controller roleThis exciting opportunity would be ideal for an established leader with real hunger to progress in their career. and develop both the function and the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction and management to the finance team (3 direct reports, finance team of 20 in total)
- Coordinate routine accounting, invoicing and credit collection in accordance with UK law and Group accounting reporting rules.
- Prepare management, annual and departmental accounts and reports to prescribed deadlines, liaise with auditors, ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Develop the business through effective financial planning and reporting processes.
- Support and contribute to business decisions by providing data, performance analysis and assessing related financial impacts.
- Participate in new business processes by identifying and developing opportunities and providing strategic guidance as necessary.
- Provide input into investment decisions to support business development.
- Partner with other departments to offer support and insight and ensure the numbers are fully understood and accounted for.
- Comply with relevant tax legislation and deadlines in coordination with external tax consultants.
- Work with the wider finance team, providing reports and analysis where required.
- Ensure robust finance controls are adhered to, with a view to continually review and improve processes and controls to improve efficiency.
- Business Partner closely with both operations teams and the board to influence decision making
- Fully ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Qualified
- Team management experience
- Exposure to FMCG, Manufacturing, Logistics or Distribution would be beneficial
- Exposure to a highvolume, supply chain driven environment would be beneficial
- Highly focused Willing to take initiative, able to prioritise your workload and able to work unsupervised.
Benefits:
- £55,000 - £65,000
- Bonus (Average of 15% paid over past few years)
- Hybrid working (3/2 split)
