We are a busy shared service team, processing high volumes of HR and Payroll-related transactions and queries.

Role and responsibilities


We are looking for a committed HR professional to provide an effective, efficient and customer-focussed service to its employees across the University.


You will:

  • Provide support to the Atypicals team to arrange and manage annual Graduate Teaching Assistant programme.
  • Provide support to the Atypicals team to process Casual worker documentation and deal with queries and timesheets.
  • Provide comprehensive HR administrative support, such as drafting contracts and employment change letters, undertaking preemployment screening, checking and updating HR and payroll systems, running reports and producing management information.
  • Support casework for example through first line advice to managers, administrative support and servicing confidential meetings.

Qualifications and experience

  • You're ideally CIPD qualified to level 5, or have an equivalent level of knowledge and experience in Human Resources.
  • You are a collaborative team player who promotes a positive and customeroriented attitude.
  • You have excellent IT skills including advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • You have experience in a high volume transactional environment.
  • You're resilient when faced with multiple demands and can cope with shifting priorities and rapid change.
