This role has a starting salary of £32,173 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week,

We currently have one permanent role and one 6 months fixed term role available.

Surrey County Council are seeking to recruit
Resource Officers to work in the Allocations Team. We are a supportive team which sits within the Gateway to Resources Service.

We work in partnership with other professionals and agencies to ensure that children and young people are identified suitably matched placements that will achieve positive outcomes.

You will have responsibility for a caseload of children for whom you will actively placement find.

This will be for children, young people and care leavers who require planned and emergency placements in fostering, residential care of supported accommodation.

In order to be considered for shortlisting, you will evidence that;

  • You have the ability to negotiate appropriate levels of service provision to make sure that best value for money is secured.
  • You can develop and maintain a good working knowledge of providers and be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external professionals.
  • You have effective organisational skills and be effective in managing your time being able to work under pressure whilst simultaneously working to tight deadlines. You will need to be an excellent communicator.
