Supply Chain Assistant
Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with a food manufacturer who are recruiting for a Supply Chain Assistant on a Permanent basis.

Job Purpose
Support the supply chain team to ensure efficiency on site by building strong relationships with customers and suppliers and helping the business make decisions through accurate stock management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales order process activities ensuring that all customer orders are processed in a timely manner.
- Resolve and record customer service issues daily.
- Shortages to be reviewed, understood, and managed through thorough knowledge of process and working with customers.
- Work with stores team to ensure accurate stock records are maintained.
- Meet requests for Supply Chain reports as required, including:
Part pallets - off site pallet control Stock rotation
Stock reconciliation - maintain accuracy of stock between site and off-site storage locations.
- Customer service levels produced daily/weekly/monthly.
- Be the champion for customer IT links and within the Supply Chain team.
- Summarise pork/lamb POs for GM to aid external purchasing.
- Raise awareness, understanding and responsibilities towards maintaining and supporting the principles of the global standard for food safety.
- Create Production recipes in a timely manner, ensuring economic targets are met along with product specifications.
- Ensure the product provided is fit for purpose and meets legal compliance and customer expectations.
- Working cross functionally, you will maintain customer factory specifications.
- Ensure stock rotation is carried out with specified guidelines; anything under 450kg of raw materials, using small pallets, cold store check and rotation. Check short dates are rotated using 'use by' date.
- Optimise supply chain efficiency.
- Track weekly stock holding of site including all production and sales data, give visualisation of what we have sold/produced.
- Maintain Factory Movex and ensure weekly housekeeping is done.
- Take part in Continuous Improvement activities and contribute suggestions.
Essentials:
- Strong Excel skills
- Numeracy
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks and work quickly and accurately.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction.
- Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner.
- Problem solving skills with the ability to resolve distribution issues.
- Understanding of department and site KPI's and how these are calculated.
- Knowledge of customer requirements and specific retailer codes
- Selfmotivated with a positive outlook
- Focus on attention to detail and maintaining high standards.
- Computer literate including Microsoft 365 and inhouse computer systems.
