SEN Teacher Required In North London
New, small, independent, holistically minded school for children with autism and challenging behaviour based in Finchley, North London. QTS preferred.

five days per week 9am-3/4pm

Hours:
Up to 40 per week


Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Job Responsibilities:
To aid pupils to learn as effectively as possible by:

  • Liasing with the class teacher and other professionals about individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Taking the lead in planning and delivering lessons as appropriate
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Establishing supportive relationships with the pupil concerned and promoting the acceptance and inclusion of the pupil with SEN.
  • Motivating and encouraging the pupil(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate.
  • Marking work and providing regular feedback where necessary
  • Conducting reflections with pupils to understand and promote the effectiveness of performance
  • Making learning fun and engaging

Salary:
£16.00-£20.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Loyalty bonus
  • Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • North Finchley: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- teaching autistic children: 1 year (required)
