To meet the requirements of the new National Standards for Healthcare Cleaning, we are recruiting additional Housekeepers to ensure that our departments are maintained to the highest standards.


The role of Housekeeper is a vital member of the team ensuring that the ward/department is a pleasant, safe, welcoming and clean environment for patients, visitors and staff.


We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, have a high level of attention to detail, able to work independently and deliver against the cleaning and infection prevention standards.

You will receive training and be required to undertaken audits and process this into electronic documents. Therefore the ability to demonstrate functional IT skills is essential.
- to provide a comprehensive Housekeeping service to the ward environment ensuring consistent quality, efficiency and effectiveness of this service.
- to play a key role in assisting in the prevention and control of Healthcare Associated Infection.
- to maintain a welcoming and tidy environment for patients, staff and visitors.
- to ensure economical and safe use of supplies and equipment.
- to ensure close communication between Domestic Assistants and nursing colleagues in relation to cleaning issues.
