THE COMPANY:


Brewster Partners are proud to be partnering with a leading software solutions business within the industrial market covering a client base across UK and Ireland.

THE ROLE:


This is an office-based role (Monday - Friday) located at my clients Cheadle based - Head Office, dealing with troubleshooting customer enquiries within a fast-paced software environment.

As part of ongoing L&D, my client provides in-house training and certification as part of an induvial training program.


THE PERSON:


  • At least 12 months commercial experience in a technical engineering (1st and 2nd line) discipline or someone from a software support troubleshooting background
  • Ability to keep customers informed of the progress of any unresolved issue until satisfactory resolution
  • Ensure you stay up to date with development of new products and software systems such as Windows servers and virtualisation (VMware)
  • Displays a cando attitude, a drive to learn and a passion for helping others
  • Enjoy working within a team, individually and a willingness to share knowledge
  • Selfmotivated and driven to achieve goals and objectives set by the Team Lead
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks accordingly and meet agreed timescales
  • Enjoys working with software and hardware, whilst keeping abreast of the latest technology

Technical Skills:


  • Programming languages and / or Visual Basic
  • Experience of working with VMware or HyperV
  • Networking (DNS / DHCP)
  • Understanding of Windows Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of SQL Server and / or Databases
  • Knowledge of computer hardware
