Assembly Operative

G&H Ilminster, Somerset

Full Time Permanent Position, Monday to Friday
Do you have a background in manufacturing, assembly or engineering work?

Are you interested in working on cutting-edge technology?

If so, we want to hear from you

Main responsibilities include;
Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures

Pack finished products

Clean production equipment and work areas

Mix adhesives and prepare metal to optics bonding

Bond optical surfaces together for substrates and laser protection filters

Set optical sub-assemblies to the correct orientation

Inspect Optics and Metal work to required specification

Follow the MRB process for non-conforming parts

Perform AQL inspection on some parts

Ensure history card and other documentation is completed

Experience of working in an assembly environment would be advantageous, ideally testing and inspecting work

Used to working to tight deadlines

Ability to follow instructions accurately

Good with problem solving and results orientated

Ability to work on own initiative

Good manual handling skills

Flexibility and openness to working overtime when required
