An opportunity has arisen for an experienced

Transport Supervisor to join our Home Counties Fuel team based in Coryton Commercials in Essex. 1 Day a week there will be a requirement to visit the Sales office in Kent


As our Transport Supervisor, you will manage the day-to-day transport activities to achieve greater efficiencies for the business and improve productivity while delivering the budgeted volume each day.

The transport supervisor will ultimately be responsible for the supervision of the, drivers, keeping them engaged and supported, routing of our vehicles and being an ambassador for health and safety around the depots and the vehicles.


What will you be doing?

  • Engaging with and supporting our drivers
  • Ensuring Compliance with Pay submissions and ensuring that Tacographs match the driver submissions.
  • Ensuring that vehicles are legally compliant through a vehicle maintenance schedule to include servicing, MOTs, tank testing and other legislative requirements.
  • Routing of the vehicles with knowledge of the most efficient routes for both our drivers and our customers
  • Training and inducting drivers, capturing and recording licenses and accreditations
  • Driver debriefing process to ensure pre and post vehicle inspections are completed
  • Maintaining Health and Safety standards with correct escalation in areas of concern
  • Communicating with colleagues within the depot and across the wider business
  • Working with the Depot Manager to ensure that we are delivering are on time, every time to maximise vehicle utilisation and that the fleet is efficient and well maintained.
  • Maintain OTIF levels of over 90% across the year
  • Working closely with the sales team to understand our customers
  • Contribute to business growth through improving efficiencies and enable us to deliver higher volumes of fuel to our domestic, commercial & agricultural business
  • Maintain open dialogue and good interactions with all service providers.
