About The Role:

Do you have an interest in the mechanical & electrical engineering industry and see yourself progressing in an administrative environment? Look no further than the Human Resources Administrator Apprentice position at J&B Hopkins.


PETA Ltd are proud to be working with J&B Hopkins, a leading Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Contractor, to recruit a Human Resources Administrator.

The main purpose of the apprentice role is to learn and gain the skills required to become a fully trained Human Resources Administrator.

From here you will learn everything there is to know about how a successful contractor company is run.

You will also be exposed to other divisions and areas of our business throughout your apprenticeship to help with your all-round development.


Training to be provided:

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 12 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.


About the role:

The HR Administrator will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Prepare and issue correspondence for all stages of the employee lifecycle
  • Support the HR Administrator in managing the ATS platform
  • Maintain and file all employee documentation accurately onto the HR platform
  • Support the team in remaining GDPR compliant
  • Manage and maintain companywide compliance training via an online portal
