Patersons Quarries are an independent quarrying company based in Coatbridge, we have sites across the central belt of Scotland and supply a wide range of quarry products, readymix concrete, concrete blocks, and concrete bricks.

We are currently recruiting for an Office Junior/Trainee Transport Clerk to assist in our busy Transport Office, based at our Rigside Transport Depot, Ayr Road, Lanark.

You will be working towards a Digital Applications Level 6 Diploma.

Working hours 8am5pm (40 hours per week)

What's Involved?

Your main duties will include,

Assisting with routing trucks in relation to deliveries and back loads
Ordering uniforms for drivers
Liaising with the Sales Department regarding invoices for haulage costs
Assist with maintaining accurate transport maintenance records
Help monitor driver working hours as per Working Time Directive requirements
Liaise with external tyre company as required
Using Microsoft Packages such as Excel, Word and Outlook

Willingness to undertake internal and external training to further knowledge of transport laws/regulations.
Polite telephone manner
Computer literate
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working individually and within a small team
