The Project Professional supports the planning, execution and delivery of complex projects through all specific phases, in alignment with BT Group strategies and external customer contractual requirements.


We are transforming our portfolio to deliver 5G, Cloud and IP products and solutions for our customers, which is a critical component of BT's digital transformation and simplification.

We have started migrating all our customers to these new products and will retire BT Business' legacy portfolio fully by 2025.

This migration is the largest, and most important customer focused change in our market, for us and our customers in the last 15 years.


  • To meet the product, network and exchange closure timescales we need to accelerate BT Business' customer migrations. This requires an expanded migration programme to plan and execute sufficient migration activity across all our customer segments to achieve the optimum commercial and customer outcomes, on time.

What you'll be doing

  • Accountable for supporting the delivery of project(s), that are medium in size that represent significant benefit / risk to our customers. The delivery will be highly visible and recognisable.
  • Responsible for supporting the PM with the management of network and exchange closures where we will be migrating customers from non IP products & services to new IP based products & services
  • Working with the Exchange Planning and Scheduling managers to build and then onward manage the migrations and dealing with all exceptions that occur
  • Working with Openreach to support their exchange closure programme through the prioritisation of exchanges and closure dates.
  • Working with account teams to help identify and drive customer orders to be placed for new IP services, and then drive the cease of the legacy non IP service that has been replaced.
This role can be based in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds. 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home (Hybrid flexible 37.5 hours)
Essential Skills

  • Delivery and Project Management experience.
  • Excellent with dealing with Customers and Suppliers at all levels.
  • Driven and passionate about "getting the job done".
  • Telecoms experience desirable.
  • PRINCE qualified desirable.
SC clearance and above desirable
