Senior Contracts Officer

A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Contracts Officer to join a leading defence and aerospace company based in Portsmouth with a salary up to £48,000 and operating on a 4 day working week basis.

The Senior Contracts Officer is responsible for the day today commercial and contracts management activities on specific multi-million pound contracts.

There are excellent progression opportunities available into a Contracts Manager and beyond over the next few years.

Responsibilities of the Senior Contracts Officer:

Acting as the main interface between the customer, supplier and internal organisation.
Carrying out negotiations of contractual terms and conditions in a reasonable time.
Identifying, defining and implementing contract revisions and improvements, including minimising commercial risk.
Ensuring timeliness of all contract actions including contract summaries and contract close out.

Person Specification of the Senior Contracts Officer:

Must currently hold valid SC clearance

Previous experience in a similar commercial management focused role with MOD contracting experience.
Strong knowledge of the different types of commercial/contract models and how to use them.
Good organisational and time management skills.

Salary:

Up to £48,000

This role will be ideal for you if you have previous experience within procurement and commercial management as a Commercial Officer, Contracts Officer, Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager or similar.
