We have a new and exciting position for a TA in the Lowestoft area. The position is to join a new team of TAs who will be supporting a class of pupils with Autism and other additional needs.


All the pupils will have EHCPs and the TA team will be expected to enrich and support the Teacher in developing and implementing learning plans to the pupils' learning needs.


The TAs in the class will be supporting the Teacher in encouraging learning and development both from a pastoral perspective and educational.

Each child has their own personal lesson plan, delivered by their 1:1 teaching assistant. This is a unique and tailor-made style of education.

The ideal person for the role

  • Will have a passion for helping young people
  • Experience of supporting people with Autism
  • Be confident to support pupils at a KS2 level who may be older than KS2 age
- experience of behaviour de-escalation

  • Great team player
  • Ideally Degree educated or at least GCSE English and Maths.
The position

  • This position is an intrinsic role to the staffing structure working within a strong team of TAs and a Teacher
  • You will be expected to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Ensure a safe learning environment is created with safeguarding always at the forefront of the role
  • Support pupils within the class and external activities
  • Engage with the family liaison officer when required
  • Document and communicate with the DSL when required
  • Bring passion and enthusiasm to the classroom
This position is to work 8:4- 3:15 within term time, the position is full time and permanent. To start in February we will consider people who would like to work 1-5 days a week.

£350.00-£400.00 per week
