Due to our continued growth we are now looking for a Meeting and Events Consultant to join our team based in our Manchester City Centre office.
You will be the clients contact for our incoming venue sourcing and meeting requests and this role is to work on an array of client accounts in a variety of industry sectors.
You will provide a professional consultancy service for all clients, anticipating their needs and offering a range of solutions to exceed their expectations, starting from their initial enquiry to final booking by converting general enquiries into bookings.
Your main duty will be to deliver an outstanding customer journey on every contact ensuring the highest level of customer service is always offered.
- Working within an office based / call center environment working with customers over the phone.
- Deliver an innovative, quality, venue find service that consistently exceeds client's expectations
- Continually develop excellent and venue destination knowledge through building positive relationships with key supplier contracts
Essential
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft office.
- Flexible and able to prioritize tasks in line with business objectives
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to follow instructions.
- The ability to work within a team environment to achieve team/department objectives
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadline
- Good Geographical knowledge
Desirable
- Knowledge of meetings & events venues in the UK/overseas.
- Venue booking system experience.
- Proven negotiating and contracting experience with external suppliers.
- GDS and flight booking experience
