Reporting to the Retail Credit Team Leader and Head of Lending Delivery, we are looking for Retail Underwriters to help support our growing lending business.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively respond to inbound customer queries received via the Lending Zendesk queues
Identify signs of consumer vulnerability and escalate where appropriate
Put in place credit limits, payment plans and assign interest schemes
Proactively seek ways to improve current retail lending processes and procedures
Build strong stakeholder relationships, both with internal and key external contacts
Resolving credit file disputes
Identify customer complaints and proactively manage customer expectations
Support the wider team with adhoc tasks and developments that arise

Requirements:

Great interpersonal skills, able to respond to customer queries efficiently and sympathetically
Organised, with the ability to deliver to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities within a dynamic environment
Operate well within a team environment
Knowledge of insolvencies (not essential)
Previous underwriting experience is preferred, but not essential

Please note, there is a requirement to work some weekends.
