We are currently hiring a Head of Editorial. This position is to be filled in Frankfurt, London or Paris.

This is a new leadership role within AllianzGI' s Marketing & Communications organization, reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications.

The Head of Editorial will lead and develop a team of experienced editors, writers, communicators and marketers focused on the creation of engaging, client-relevant and often time-sensitive content that populate AllianzGI' s various owned channels as well paid and earned media.

The team is responsible for publishing a wide range of investment-related content, covering macro outlooks, public markets and private markets.

The output encompasses client communications of platform developments, educational modules, asset class updates, investment insights, white papers and major publications such as the Sustainability Report.

It is expected to anticipate client interest for content during different market events, and other time-sensitive outputs.

Consequently, the team is working on a range of formats and to a diverse range of timelines, which require careful orchestration.

What you will do

Lead the global Editorial team as an active editor, player coach and orchestrate colleagues to deliver the main tasks and output of the team
Develop, agree and execute on global content strategy for the firm, in line with global campaign goals and investment positioning of the firm
Align editorial calendar with the firm's investable themes and business development priorities
Oversee creation, management and internal awareness of global content pipeline
Develop clear global publication architecture, including formats that can be rolled out locally on a consistent basis
Ensure all content produced by the team has a clear purpose, message and target audience
Empower and inspire the team leads and individual contributors to deliver highquality and timely content in close partnership with the investment teams
Act as key contact with Investment Executive Committee on all team output
Moderate internal and external events and panels as appropriate
Actively contribute to the strategic development of the Marketing and Communications function
Manage Editorial budget for use with freelancers and agencies

What you bring

Ideally 15+ years strong experience in content creation of different forms, whether in the field of marketing, communications or journalism
Excellent editorial judgement, including a strong news sense
Ability to lead, inspire and orchestrate a team of experienced writers and editors
Developed understanding of sensitivities of communicating within a carefully regulated environment
An advanced understanding and genuine interest in the world of investing
Proven people management and team development skills
Experience of operating in an internationally diverse environment where collaboration with different stakeholders is essential.
Ability to effectively steer freelancers
Ability to drive development of global processes
High level of motivation, strong commitment, energetic and resultoriented attitude
