We have a vacancy for a full time Band 4 Senior Medical Secretary to join our General Surgery team on a permanent basis.

For the Senior Medical Secretary role you will work within a multi-disciplinary team, and be responsible for a range of duties related to patient pathway management, including, but not limited to; diary management, audio transcription and word processing of clinical letters, production of reports and other correspondence as required by the Medical Team.

You should be literate and numerate, with excellent organizational, time management and IT skills and an ability to work without supervision.

RSA III typing/ word processing is highly desirable although a typing test will be required at interview.

Medical secretarial and admin experience is essential.

You will have a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels.

You will have enthusiasm, motivation and demonstrate pride in your work.
