Works Scheduler and shape something special.
What you'll be doing
Constructing Excellence
- Daytoday planning of reactive delivery, contributing towards efficient and effective performance of the team.
- Review actual performance of the team against planned assumptions and escalate to Agents and
- Propose and support changes to support a culture of continual improvement.
- Ensure daily work schedules are correct and that gangs are deployed in effective manner
- Provide reports and complete statutory paperwork as required.
- Support the implementation of changes to facilitate continual improvement.
- Liaise with Agents and Senior Agents to ensure best utilisation of materials, equipment and manpower.
- Managing Confirm works info and data
- Provide routine and timely programme updates to works scheduled.
- Supports and contributes towards continuous improvement.
Health, Safety and Quality:
- Embedding the culture of Zero Harm through the scheduling of works.
- Plan works in line with statutory and company procedures and ensure compliance with all statutory
- Identifying any risks involved with the works and passing to the Agents and Senior Agents.
Customer Focus
- Work proactively to build strong client relationships with WSCC counterparts and other stakeholders.
- Liaising with members of the client team to ensure that the client's needs are met and provide effective delivery and solutions through industry experience.
Detailed Knowledge / Experience
- understanding of importance and experience of planning to deadlines.
- Ideally have previous experience in Reactive Highways Works.
- Works well as part of a team as well as on your own.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written with ability to deal with difficult or confrontational
Who we're looking for
- Experience of working on a Highways Maintenance Contract
- Good interpersonal skills and communication.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Adaptable to changing situations
- Teamwork
- Works programming skills
- Understanding of works programming systems (ideally Confirm although not essential).
- Good knowledge and use of MS Suites.
Desirable Qualifications
- NRSWA ideally units 1 to 1
- LANTRA NHSS 12d.
- CSCS
- 1 Day Health and Safety Awareness
