Prison Based Mental Health Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist:

Hunter AHP have an opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Occupational Therapist to secure an ongoing locum contract, within a prison.

The service provides mental health rehabilitationfor detainees.

Mental Health Occupational Therapists work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary therapy team, with excellent facilities.

Key responsibilities of the Mental Health Rehab Occupational Therapy role as follows:

To be responsible for the Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment and evaluation of an allocated clinical caseload, and in compliance with the care programme approach.
To be responsible for planning and providing group and individual assessment and treatment sessions within the service, involving the client in decisions regarding appropriate interventions.
To support and motivate service users to attend and participate in individual and group sessions appropriate to their needs.
