Electricity North West seeks a skilled and collaborative Multi-skilled Electrical Engineer to help build, install and look after high-voltage and low-voltage electrical cables, switchgear and substations.

This is a full-time role that comes with a salary of £35,000.00 to £42,000.00 and excellent benefits.

Our role

As a Multi-Skilled Craftsperson, you will use your hands-on electrical and mechanical skills to help build, install and look after high-voltage and low-voltage electrical cables, switchgear and substations.

You will also be required to use safe working processes and follow technical drawings to work across public and private industrial electrical networks.

To give you an idea of how this Cable Jointer role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

Comply with company Health and Safety processes
Maintain a safe, orderly and clean working area
Promote the company's reputation through a positive attitude and behaviours, good timekeeping and a professional appearance
Inspect substations and associated equipment, including completing accurate test reports within seven working days
LV and HV cable installation, jointing and terminations in accordance with the company's quality specifications and company processes.

To apply, you must be trained and experienced in using hand and power tools to unload, measure, cut to size, put together and bolt/fix down electrical equipment.

You will also require the following:

Experience working with Low Voltage and High Voltage electrical system components, plant and equipment, with proven High Voltage jointing and fitting skills
City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification, a recognised Craft Apprenticeship and or Vocational Training equivalent to NVQ level
A valid, full UK driving licence with categories B + E.

Overtime will be available with this role and some weekend working will be required.
