Bestwood is based at the St Francis Unit at the City Campus, where patients are identified as medically safe for transfer and are afforded a personalised journey towards discharge out of hospital.

Nursing staff contribute to the delivery of a reablement and rehabilitation nursing model of care.

Discharge planning is a key part in the day to day operational management of the flow of patients. Bestwood staff are skillful in coordinating and managing the sometimes-complex discharges involving Health and Social care partners.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a unique HCA's who is dedicated and committed to a delivery high standards of care.

Who actively promote personalisation, support recovery from an acute illness, and empower patients to optimise on their physical and mental well being during their hospital stay.

The member of staff will need to demonstrate that they have the ability to be part of a team as well as working autonomously to provide high quality dignified care to our patients in a safe environment.

NHS care experience

Essential criteria
- experience either formally or informally of a caring role
- ability to demonstrate rapport building, clear and genuine communication with others
- basic level of secondary school education

Desirable criteria
- ability to perform the full range of caring duties
- evidence of personal and professional duties
- is able to demonstrate a basic level of technical literacy and telephone skills

continued professional and personal development

Essential criteria
- willingness to engage in professional development

Desirable criteria
- completion of HCA Care Certificate
- annual essential training

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

The system will provide us with an outcome of your check which will be stored securely on your personal file along with all other pre-employment check documentation.
