Our
CAMHS LD Clinical Lead role provides a
Community & Crisis Response for children and young people who are referred to the Community CAMHS LD service.


Working as part of our team, you'll be responsible for providing expert clinical advice and leadership, supervision and training, alongside ensuring the our service continues to deliver high quality care for young people with a Learning Disability and co morbid mental health difficulties.


Bringing your wealth of knowledge and experience, you'll have a core profession/registration (HCPC, NMC, UKCP, BABCP, Social Work England) with extensive expertise in this clinical area, and in return you'll be working as part of a highly skilled clinical Multi Disciplinary Community Learning Disability Team.

There are a range of opportunities to further develop both clinical and leadership skills, CPD, regular supervision and line management.

You'll also be part of county-wide Children's services which are developing rapidly, its a fantastic opportunity to join at a time of change, bringing your ideas and experience to a team and service which is proud of its progress.


This role is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week, you'll need to be organised, enthusiastic, and excellent team player and be able to travel.

Main duties of the job:

To provide specialist assessments, formulations and advise on specialist evidence based interventions. You'll be able to work with your own clinical caseload too.


To provide expert knowledge and advice and act as a point of reference for other professions, demonstrating excellent clinical risk assessment skills as part of wider holistic care.


A good understanding of legal frameworks including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Safeguarding procedures is essential, and there's opportunity for, leadership, research and audit alongside service development.

This role is integral to the CAMHS LD Multi Disciplinary team. The team uses a trauma informed approach whilst also working to NICE and national guidelines.
