Peripatetic Maintenance Operative
Location would ideally be in the Yorkshire, North East or West of England or the Midlands - travel will be required around your geographical patch and to visit the homes across our core homes.
The role of maintenance is to be a key member of the team for health & safety, general maintenance and repairs within the homes.
- Undertake remedial tasks relating to H&S Audits, Fire Risk Assessment & Legionella Risk Assessment.
- Provide Training and Guidance to Maintenance staff and Maintenance Inductions
- Assist in emergency evacuation drill and fire drills & carry out weekly fire checks.
- Complete maintenance checks identified in the maintenance manual and regulative checks
- Review Maintenance Manuals and Servicing documentation and identify areas of noncompliance
- Ensure health & safety of self, Service Users, staff and contractors/visitors
- Safe handling of equipment and chemicals
- Carry out decorating and redecorating as directed
- Basic Plumbing and Joinery work
- PAT testing of electrical equipment
- Being available for emergency call outs and to provide cover during annual leave and sickness
- Possess and maintain a valid driving licence and be prepared to travel.

For this role driving will be required so you must possess a full UK driving licence.
An enhanced DBS disclosure is required.
