Mechanical Assembly Operative needed to assist with semi-skilled Mechanical Assembly and production of end carriages/bogies for overhead cranes and hoists.


_Mechanical Assembly Operative_
Assisting with the production of end carriages for cranes:
semi-skilled Mechanical Assembly of end carriages/bogies (
_Must have previous Mechanical Assembly experience_)

  • Fixing bearings in wheels
  • Cleaning flange drives and stub hubs
  • Fixing end plates to specific measurements
  • Painting carriages in rustproof paint
  • Help with stockkeeping and replenishment
  • Assisting Skilled Engineers
  • FLT Counterbalance licence is extremely desirable
In return, you will be rewarded with a permanent position (following a successful temporary 13-week period).

  • 37 hours per week (7 am 5 pm, Monday Thursday)
  • Hourly rate £ increasing to £13.01 after 13 weeks with regular overtime also available.
