About the role.
Do you have a passion for working with businesses to improve the economic prosperity of the North East?

The successful applicant will join the Council's dynamic and successful Enterprise and Industry Unit that seeks to create an environment where new and existing businesses can invest, grow and prosper; through a mix of cross-cutting and sector-specific activities.

The role will focus on supporting the expansion and retention of strategic employers through proactive account management, developing relationships at a senior level, and planning for growth by working with employer organisations and partners and improving the business environment.

With demonstratable knowledge of local economic conditions; local, national and regional business support services and business management processes, you will possess a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, substantial and relevant experience may be acceptable as an alternative, and have experience of working with businesses to influence investment decisions and collaborating with partners to deliver outcomes.
