Finance Analyst | £25,000 - £30,000 | Burton-on-Trent | Hybrid working


Macildowie are currently working with a business at the forefront of their sector to recruit a newly created Finance Analyst role within their Finance team.


There will be a good amount of collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders In this role, which is rare exposure for a role as junior as this.

The role will focus on sales and revenue recognition, costings, and leasing schedule.


Main Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with the Commercial Sales team, ensuring that correct procedures are being followed and supporting in decision making.
  • Support the Financial Controller in providing insight and analysis for the segment, including Customer Profitability Analysis.
  • Implement an efficient and accurate process that monitors invoicing and payments, lease end payment information and an accurate outstanding position for customers at any time.
  • Working closely with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure customers are invoiced accurately and consistently and within a timely manner, ensuring billing is in line with agreed contracts.
  • Working closely with the Accounts Payable team to ensure relevant sales costs are recorded in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for completing month end postings in line with timetable, actively looking for ways to automate and create efficiencies, fully reviewing numbers for completeness and accuracy.
  • Responsibility of maintaining and reconciling the operating lease schedule in line with SOX and Audit requirements.
  • Support Financial Controller with accounting procedures at month end including completion of balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring Audit and SOX requirements are adhered to.
  • Working as part of finance team to identify and drive efficiencies across the team and ensure good communication in place.

Skills and Experience

  • Part Qualified or wanting to study for accountancy qualification
  • Good knowledge of Excel and experience of working with an ERP system (Dynamics 365 beneficial)
  • Be able to display a good strength of character and be able to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build relationships and influence others to achieve results
  • Be a true team player, yet selfmotivated
  • Ability to prioritise workload

Package
- £25,000 - £30,000

You will ideally be from a
Finance background (although professional finance qualifications are not essential) and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

You'll also be someonewho loves to be in the detail, with a strong experience in
large volume data analysis, budgeting and forecasting with strong organisational skills.

You will have experience and confidence dealing with
internal and external customers and other internal teams across the business and have the ability to work at pace and remain consistent under pressure.

You will be proactive in your approach to work with the ability to identifyissues and drive actions quickly.
