The Role
The SAP Finance Analyst will work as part of the SAP Functional Team and alongside Business Analysts, Software Developers and Process Teams to support the delivery and operations of solutions to help the business operate more effectively through the integrationof systems and enhancements of data flows in the organisation.
The role holders will be responsible for:
- Functional Analyst for SAP Finance systems
- System patching and management
- System configuration
- Triaging and resolving incident raised through the service desk
- Requirements gathering, writing functional specifications, and testing new developments
- Liaising with external and internal auditors and carrying out periodic checks to ensure systems compliance with audit requirements.
- Researching, designing, configuring, implementing, and managing software solutions
- Testing and evaluating solutions
- Advise on best practice and identify business process improvements
- Training users
The role holder will be required to understand the business and its challenges, functionally outlining a solution to the identified use cases, and then developing solutions using SAP technology.
The Person
Key Knowledge Areas:
- At least 3 years' experience as a SAP Finance specialist preferably on S4 Hana (Essential)
- SAP FI/CO Configuration (Essential)
- Integration of FI/CO with other SAP modules such as MM, SD and PS (essential)
- Understanding of financial accounting, budgetary controls, and activitybased costing (essential)
- VAT and Withholding tax Advanced Compliance reporting (desirable)
- Business Partner Integration (desirable)
- Concur support (desirable)
- Understanding of SAP Authorisations and SAP GRC (desirable)
- Software Development Lifecycle
- Business Analysis including
- Gathering and understanding functional requirements
- Design documentation
- Testing strategies
- System support and issue resolution
- SAP FI/CO (Minimum 3 years)
- The ability to learn new technologies quickly
- The ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues, both written and verbally
- Incident/Defect resolution
- Strong analytical skills
- Good business acumen
- All stages of the development lifecycle
The Company
We are working with a large organisation that provide a service to customer base across the whole of the North of England.
The business run a SAP S4Hana system which is supported by a specialist team including 5 functional consultants.Each functional consultanttakes specific responsibility for an area of the SAP solution and my client are looking to bring in someone to support FI/CO.
