Project Coordinator - Personal Injury Claims

Are you currently working in a personal injury claims environment and looking to broaden your role? Can you add value in a fast-paced commercial environment? Do you want to have a direct impact to the claims experience?

You will be working within the ASDA insurance team which is responsible for the implementation and administration of our insurance programme.

The role will focus specifically on our employer's, public and motor insurance policies but will also work across a number of other lines and you will be heavily involved in the day to day oversight of the claims that arise through those lines.

This involves management of non-DA files with our legal partners as well as working with various stakeholders and suppliers to optimise our insurance programme.


What you'll be responsible for:


  • Oversight of a caseload of nondelegated, predominantly multitrack personal injury claims over £100k handled by our external suppliers working with stakeholders and insurers.
  • Supporting internal claims investigations.
  • Collation of MI and risk management information.
  • Providing support and collating data for the renewal of insurance policies, liaising internally and with brokers and suppliers.
  • Managing and supporting on various insurance projects including structural reviews.
  • Supporting and assisting on internal and external audits.
  • Provide advice on general insurance queries to all areas of the business.
  • Management of various reporting requirements both internally and to our insurers.

About you:


  • Background in handling personal injury claims (whether that be an insurer or law firm) is essential, preferably with multitrack experience but not essential.
  • Experience of working with MI would be beneficial.
  • You will be required to have strong skills in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, organisation and time management skills with the ability to be able to prioritise multiple and conflicting workloads.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to thrive under pressure are absolute requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Commercial acumen both in terms of claims handling, but also in the context of broader risk management or insurance advice.
  • Experience of project work would be advantageous.
