This well-established travel business is looking for someone to join them to lead one of the buying teams to ensure they provide the very best range of quality products to their customers across the world.


Senior Contracts Manager - What will I be doing ?

  • As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will be the main support to the Head of Department by managing the sourcing of the endtoend contracting life cycle of multiple services within a designated geographical area and be fully accountable for negotiating rates,SLAs and wider contract terms and conditions with suppliers.
  • You will be responsible for continued monitoring of the ongoing commercial and operational performance of these services/suppliers
  • You will be used to working in a fastpaced environment and thrive on delivering high value and sustainable product and cost options in a highly competitive and fastmoving market environment.
  • In addition, you will be responsible for managing a small team of Sourcing Managers
  • You will Lead the contracting process from end to end focusing on negotiating market leading rates and special offers or exclusive deals with key suppliers throughout the contract life.
  • You will negotiate contract renewal conditions, ensuring all suppliers are recontracted as appropriate within set deadlines to ensure a continuity of supply across all seasons.
  • You will provide ongoing training, coaching and support to develop the Sourcing managers under your remit ensuring all endtoend supplier interactions follow business best practice guidelines.
  • Monitor performance of destinations and work with the pricing and sales teams to maximise sales volumes and profit growth ensuring no product availability issues.

Senior Contracts Manager - What experience do I need?

  • You will have come from a fastpaced contracts / purchasing / buying background ideally within the travel industry or other fast paced market
  • You will have strong influencing and negotiation skills, prior experience in successfully contracting, and negotiating agreements and conditions with suppliers is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including highly developed communication and presentation skills, strong cultural versatility and empathy, and high levels of integrity
  • Passionate about customer satisfaction and driven to create successful longterm commercial supplier relationships.

Senior Contracts Manager - what else do I need to know?
This role requires frequent travel abroad sometimes at short notice - so lots of opportunity to see the world.

They have some lovely offices on the Sussex Coast and for the first 3 months it is essential that you work full time from these offices - after3 months the role will be hybrid with 3 days worked in the office and 2 days from home.
