We opened in September 2018 and are a new, co-educational 11-18 school for the South Wimbledon area. We are now full in Years and open HAWI6 (our 6thform) in September 2023. We are in a brand-new building with excellent facilities.

We are looking for a hardworking, ambitious and dynamic Behaviour Manager to be part of our successful faculty.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Your responsibilities will include:

  • To lead and manage the reflection room;
  • To ensure students complete the curriculum while in the reflection room;
  • To liaise with teaching staff to ensure appropriate work is set and appropriate provision is in place;
  • To be responsible for maintaining a calm and purposeful learning environment;
  • To followup on any truancy or attendance concerns;
  • To work with the other members of the support team to ensure students are monitored and supervised before school, during break and throughout lunch.
  • To follow through any issues to do with behaviour as required by the Academy Leadership Group, for example, taking student statements regarding incidents and passing these on to relevant colleagues;
  • To mentor students on PSPs, supporting successful achievement of targets and contributing to meetings/ reports in relation to student progress on PSP. This may include supporting in lessons as appropriate;
  • To prepare student's files for governor's disciplinary panels or exclusion hearings;
  • To create packs required for Permanent Exclusion meetings and send out any letters from the Principal for exclusions;
  • To present reports of student's progress to PSP review meetings;
  • To send out letters to parents regarding behaviour and sanctions as directed by the Academy leadership team;
  • To organise meetings with parents/carers, documentation, confirmation, booking rooms etc when requested by the Academy Leadership Team;
  • To communicate with parents/carers when requested by the Academy Leadership Team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Evidence of leading, supporting and managing others, both individuals and teams, ensuring high quality performance.
  • High level of ICT skills and experience of how new technologies can be used to raise achievement.
  • Recent experience of involvement in innovative curriculum development.
  • Experience of presenting to a wide audience
  • Understanding of how whole Academy strategies can be used across the curriculum to raise standards.
  • Evidence of continuous selfdevelopment and updated knowledge in the fields of teaching and learning and education management, particularly in the areas of responsibility for this post.
