Channel Deployment Lead - Commercial Trade Channel
This is an exciting opportunity to join GSK as a
Channel Deployment Lead.


As Channel Deployment Lead, you will be responsible for the partnering with Local operating companies (LOCs) for development and deployment of trade channel strategies to defend GSK prescription in the commercial channels.

This includes enabling LOCs to make prudent Gross to Net (G2N) investments, execution of global pharmacy campaigns on eligible brands, deploying global solutions to win in channels and embedding enablers for building sustainable partnerships with key channel accounts.


Your Responsibilities**:

In this position, you will be accountable to provide strategic support to LOCs to:

  • Deliver Sales, cash flow and profit targets on eligible Commercial Trade Channel (CTC) brands.
  • Identify and unlock CTC opportunities, prioritized based on the potential size of the opportunity and develop the subsequent implementation plan for each of the appropriate customers, countries, products and channels
  • Determine appropriate opportunities for Route to Market optimization to profitably serve Hospitals, Pharmacies and the Patient on a country and product basis
  • Determine the appropriate process and partners necessary to implement the CTC plan for country needs and remove any internal roadblocks to deployment.
  • Visualize and track G2N spend and deliver on NRM opportunities in line with agreed Channel strategies.
  • Ensure appropriate enablers are established in the respective functions (Tech, Finance, Marketing, Pricing) to support successful implementation.
  • Build capability in LOC Commercial Trade Channel teams to develop and execute an effective CTC strategy
  • Build effective management monitoring systems to ensure compliance to GSK policies and values and local Laws.


The position is also accountable to co-create tools and solutions to better manage trade channel, increase commercial coverage and deliver profitable investment options.

Basic Qualifications:


  • MBA with significant years of experience of which at least 3 in channel management at LOC level.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical CTC elements including hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers, distributors and service providers
  • Experience in working cross functionally and across business units to develop strategy and implementation plans
  • Strong financial skills to assess cost/benefit payoff of new ways of doing business in an environment with a great deal of uncertainty as to the true impact on sales
  • Ability to work well with senior incountry and global stakeholders to drive agenda, reach investment agreement and achieve follow through with all parties on committed actions
  • Track record of successful change management

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, OTC, generics, branded generics or FMCG sales and marketing
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical distributors and pharmacies preferred
  • Commercial understanding and drive: including demonstrable business analytics, business case development and commercial modeling
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to ask the right questions and help LOC teams develop solutions
  • High ethical and Integrity standards
