Job Introduction

Please note this role is Hybrid with occasional visits to our Sandwich and Ashford office
Our people are everything to us. The way they deliver exceptional experiences every day for our customers, for their colleagues. The way they own what they do. Their 'Why's it like that?' curiosity. How they always think of others and work together to get things done. For us, for you, make do will never do. Good enough? Not even close. Come and do the best work of your life alongside lovely colleagues. Come to Saga.

And right now, we are looking for a Claims Validation Officer to join Saga's Claims Fraud Team.

You will be responsible for the investigation of potentially fraudulent claims and ensure that genuine claims are cleared back to the claims' teams at the earliest opportunity, keeping costs to a minimum.

Also to ensure that appropriate investigations are carried out where required.

And in return, you can look forward to all the responsibility and involvement of an integral role, providing you with a rewarding and fast-paced career with an excellent benefits package.

If this is of interest to you then we would be keen to hear from you

Main Responsibilities

  • Utilise investigative and data search tools to investigate suspected fraudulent activity.

  • Negotiate and settle claims within your personal authority limit without referral.
  • Achieve consistent financial savings results.
  • Work closely with other members of the Claims Validation Team to recommend developments to the fraud detection and prevention systems and to assist in implementing these developments.
  • Act as a referral point for others in the business who need support and decisions made upon claims and other incidents that have suspicious aspects to them.
  • Contribute proportionally to the team's achievement of all its targets.
  • Excellent customer skills and the ability to spot and challenge unusual (and fraudulent) behaviour.
  • Ability to manage own workload.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Problem solver.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of insurance claims handling and claims negotiation.
  • Some claims validation experience.
