We're looking for a fantastic, driven and motivated individual to become part of our internal project and transformation team to work with us and support us in the delivery of an exciting future-shaping project portfolio.

With technology, customer and cultural focussed projects across a range of service areas (as well as everything in between) we need a strong and experienced Project Manager to ensure we deliver on our ambitions, within budget and to the high quality that both we and our residents expect.

What you'll be doing...

*Responsible for the delivery and success of a project's expected outcomes and benefit.
*Ensuring the project is effectively scoped, planned, initiated, and managed to deliver against requirements in respect of quality, cost, and time
*Lead cross-organisational project teams across all project phases from initiation to completion
*Ensure initiated projects remain aligned or our organisational strategies, delivery plans and support us to delivery our overarching vision.
*Using appropriate project methodology and practices ensure the effective delivery of workstreams within the project. Through day-to-day management assess, monitor and manage, activities, budget, dependencies, risks and issues and resources. Making adjustments to the project plans as needed, measuring project performance to identify areas for improvement
*Provide expert project management knowledge and challenge; support and mentor the project team to deliver projects consistently, effectively, on time and within budget, in accordance with our project management framework
*Where changes to the delivery of the project are required follow the appropriate change control procedures to ensure the change is fully impacted organisationally and an informed decision has been made
*In line with the project management framework ensure that the documentation and processes to support the way we deliver projects are implemented properly and project are transparent.
*Ensure effective communication plans are in place for each project and that stakeholders are kept informed throughout the project lifecycle as required. Work with comms leads to ensure these are engaging, reach the relevant audience and add value to the overall project success.

You must have...

*A formal qualification in project management or equivalent experience and training in agile and waterfall project management methodologies
*Experience of change management with the ability to manage and influence teams and individual people to deliver large-scale change
*Demonstratable experience of managing project teams in a complex environment to achieve excellent outcomes in a face paced, delivery environment
*Demonstratable experience and competence in financial management of projects
*Experience in the development of detailed and complex business cases
*Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to advise and influence senior officers, members and stakeholders
*Experience of management across a full project lifecycle
*Demonstratable commitment to continuous professional learning and development
*Change Management implementation skills
*Strategic Thinker with the ability to challenge constructively
*Ability to quickly assimilate large amounts of detailed information to make recommendations based on insight
