We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaner for a school located in Haddington.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a keen eye for cleanliness and takes pride in maintaining high standards of hygiene.

Your rate of pay and hours of work
This is an ongoing temporary position with a rate of pay of £10.42 per hour, with holiday pay accrued. Hours of work will follow a shift pattern of Monday to Friday, 2pm until 6pm.

Responsibilities in your new role

Cleaning bathroom areas, ensuring they are sanitary and wellmaintained.
Cleaning classroom areas, ensuring they provide a clean environment conducive to learning.
Cleaning general public spaces within the school premises.
Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed in a timely manner, adhering to the set schedule.
Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or issues promptly.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

Previous experience as a cleaner is required; experience in an educational, health or care home setting would be beneficial but not essential.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with fluency in English.
Positive and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to meet targets in a highly demanding environment.
Good timekeeping skills and ability to work at a fast pace.
