£ £15.00 per hour

Earlies, Lates, Waking Nights and Weekends

Our client in Bournemouth is looking to recruit Temporary Healthcare Assistants for their busy 40 bedroom home in Bournemouth.

You will be providing high quality care and support to older people; people with physical disabilities and learning difficulties,people with mental health needs and dementia patients.

This home specialises in reablement, providing short term support to people who may need support with their daily living activities.

The aim of your work will be to support and encourage people to maintainor regain their independence.


Your Day May Include:


  • Support individual with personal care, nutrition and hydration, as well as moving and assisting which could include the use of equipment (hoists, walk aids etc)
  • Maintaining dignity, privacy and respect
  • Assisting with performing practical tasks, including shopping and community activities
  • Working within both a nursing and residential unit in order to support the service user to maintain the activities of their daily lives, using a strengths based approach
  • Providing care and support to our clients to encourage and promote independence.
  • Using goal plans and observational skills to assist in the reablement of clients.
  • Supporting clients to undertake practical everyday tasks to help them regain independence.
  • Providing verbal and written feedback on a client's progress as required.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll play such an important role in the everyday activities and needs of the residents you work with.

Working as part of one team of nursing and care professionals, you'll understand what matters to every resident, so you cantailor the way you care for them.

Helping them live as independently as possible.

People skills, attention to detail, respect for the past and hopes for the future. These are the qualities we look for in every Healthcare Assistant. You'll bring a 'one team' attitude that means you'll be happy to share the responsibility with your teammates.

  • Knowledge of Care and Safeguarding legislation.
  • Experience of working in a care environment providing personal care is desirable.
  • Good communication skills and be a strong team player.
  • IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent.
