Workshop Controller - Wellingborough

Clemence Rogers are currently recruiting for a Workshop Controller to join a well established Commercial Vehicle based in Wellingborough


Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary operational liaison between workshop and service team
  • Supervise and prioritise workload throughout shift for maximum efficiency
  • Ensure key customer service KPIs are met daily
  • Update the service team with progress & escalate concern repairs to management team when required
  • Monitor all service and maintenance repair work of vehicles and trailers
  • Quality control MOT preparation to ensure 1st time pass
  • Assist in the diagnosis and rectification of all types of faults
  • Create customer estimates
  • Monitor the flow and quality of workshop job cards
  • Sign off R2C in a timely manner
  • Update and gain authorisation for defects when required
  • Ensure correct warranty procedures are followed at all times
  • Ensure Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
  • Ensure appropriate clocking is made and all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure high level of cleanliness and tidiness
  • Maintain thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses
  • Take responsibility for the depot in the Depot Managers absence
  • Solid technical understanding with a technical qualification/ previous experience as an HGV technician/Workshop Controller
  • You'll need to understand the whole customer journey and really want to make things happen.
  • Excellent communicator with people from across the business
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to manage a team and get the best out of them while at the same time being a team player yourself
  • An ability to meet strict deadlines to keep our customers on the road
  • Ability to work to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work calmly in a fast paced environment
