The role covers operations for three brands, Scigrip for Structural Adhesives, Integra and Unika covering kitchen products that are focused on solving problems and delivering value to our customers through great people, class-leading adhesive technologies, and innovative and flexible packaging and service offerings.


Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, IPSA Europe, the Finance Assistant is responsible for supporting our UK Finance team with accounting administration.

Training support will be offered for a full AAT qualification.

Post holders are expected to undertake other duties and responsibilities relevant to the nature, level and extent of the post.

Accounts Payable: Complete ownership of Accounts Payable including receipt and posting of supplier invoices and credit notes in a timely manner, matching against purchase orders, delivery notes and other supporting documentation, ensuring VAT is correctly posted and descriptions entered to allow meaningful analyses, preparing files for payment runs of supplier invoices, posting supplier payments and allocation against relevant invoices.

Data Management: Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

Month-End Closing: Assist with the preparation of month-end management accounts such as all accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded and financial reports are generated.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the finance process and collaborate on process improvements.

Reporting: Generate and distribute relevant financial reports, to support decision-making and assist with and preparation of departmental financial statements.

Assist Finance Team: Collaborate with the finance team on various projects and tasks to support the overall financial function.


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:


  • Experience:
  • At least 13 years experience working in an administration environment, which includes handling financial data
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Fully IT knowledgeable and able to interact accordingly, using a variety of platforms and systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel & Word
  • Experience in purchase ledger management
  • Skills:
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and able to prioritise accordingly
  • Ability to work in an environment focused on performance, Lean methodologies and continuous improvement
  • Highly organised with close attention to detail
  • Accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • A proactive selfstarter.
  • Bonus / additional "plus":
  • Educated to A level standard, or equivalent
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/distribution environment preferred
