Scope of Role:
To coordinate the production of formed in place gaskets to lighting components in an efficient and timely manner.


Having responsibility for the operation of the robotic production cell to meet production requirements and ensure quality, operational, material and maintenance requirements are always met.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Ensuring the correct and documented flow of components in and out of the production cell area.
  • Efficient loading and unloading of both batch fed and manually placed components for gasketing. (This may involve loading and unloading of heavy components.)
  • Continuous quality inspection of the gasketing process and finished product, ensuring finished product meets both drawing and technical specifications.
  • Ensure program selection, jig setting, plasma speed, moisture amount and stillage location are always to the required specification.
  • Understand the programming requirements and be able to make minor program, distance offset and flow rate modifications to suit the required quality specifications.
  • Communicate in a professional manner with both production and design to ensure the above requirements are met.
  • Monitor the safe operation of the production cell and report immediately any concerns / anomalies outside of your control.
Person Specification.

  • A mature attitude with an ability to work diligently and with continuous concentration on the task in hand throughout the whole of the working shift.
  • Have a logical thought process and the ability to analyse various production scenarios and react to them in a logical and concise manner.
  • Be able to learn the basics of the robot programming language. Training will be given.
  • Prioritise work flow and machine requirements and achieve consistent throughput and quality.
  • Flexible approach to work and be prepared to work to flexible break times and short notice overtime if required. (In some extraneous circumstances it is not possible to leave the machine for an extended length of time without completing a full material purge.)
  • Would suit someone who has a positive attitude to continually develop own skills and strives for excellence.


Standard hours of work Monday to Thursday and Friday with the flexibility of short notice overtime as required potentially at a weekend.
