The Behaviour Mentor Role:


As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be supporting teaching and learning in the classroom environment, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

You will assist the class teacher with managing challenging behaviour and delivering high quality lessons.

As a Behaviour Mentor,you will work alongside the pastoral team to deliver effective behaviour interventions and support the wellbeing of pupils.

You will monitor progress and follow safeguarding procedures properly.

The Behaviour Mentor:


For this Behaviour Mentor role, you must have a Level 3 Behaviour Mentor qualification and have experience working with secondary aged children.

You must have a good understanding of the additional needs of the pupils you are supporting, which are primarilySEMH needs, challenging behaviour and some SEN.

It is important that you are a Behaviour Mentor with a calm, resilient personality who can build a good rapport with the pupils you are working with.


The School:


This Alternative Provision located in Solihull caters for KS3 and KS4 pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs that cannot be supported effectively in a mainstream setting.

There is extensive support offered by the leadership team and CPD is providedregularly for development purposes.
