Behaviour Support Assistant - Stanley, County Durham

Milk Education are recruiting for Behaviour Support Assistants to work in Primary Schools across Stanley and surrounding areas from May half-term.

The opportunities are Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.15am and 4pm. You will be working with students either in small groups or on a one to one basis. Many students will have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and require a very tailored child centred approach.

Our partner schools are looking for educators who are patient, resilient and nurturing, specifically someone who enhances students' self-esteem and are supportive of students' needs.

The ideal Behaviour Support Assistant would be a person who has:

Experience of working with children with Social Emotional and Mental Health or a willingness to train
Emotional Resilience
Good at deescalating situations in a calm manner
Approachable, confident, empathetic, and adaptable practitioner
