Description of the role
The Communications Coordinator supports the work of the Programme and
Communications teams. We are looking for someone keen to use their digital knowhow and communication skills to support the delivery of our online and in-person projects and events, for dance artists and organisations across the
UK and Internationally.


This new post will support a small, busy and vibrant team, working at pace to deliver a range of programmes with diverse communities, in an inclusive and accessible way.


The post offers an excellent opportunity for someone with some experience of external communications to take the next step in their career with the support of the friendly and experienced team at People Dancing.

Summary
To provide customer services & programme support by administering and coordinating event and training booking facilities, connecting with staff across the organisation, attendees and contributors
To assist with the delivery of engaging and accessible communications and campaigns to profile the work of the organisation
To assist with delivering our data and audience/user data collection
To evaluation and reporting processes.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Working collaboratively with the Communications and Programme Teams, you will
-
Customer services & programme support
Maintain online booking systems (e.g. Eventbrite, Bookwhen) for our programme of in-person and online events and training, including setting up new event listings (writing copy, uploading images/credits, pricing, data collection etc)
Liaise with online and in-person attendees about bookings, confirmations and event information, responding to access needs and providing links to evaluation surveys
Providing an overview of bookings data for the Comms and Programme teams
Attending online and in-person events as required to support with logistics and hosting
Liaise with the Creative Programme team about requested technical and access requirements from attendees/contributors.

Communications and campaigns
Assist the Communications & Digital Engagement Officer to develop the brand identity via communications campaigns, reflecting our inclusive and accessible organisation
Assist with the scheduling, writing of engaging copy, design and distribution of e-newsletters/flyers, social media posts and print
Research/collate information for newsletters and social media
Support the Website Manager to generate income through advertising by exploiting the commercial opportunities of People Dancing's Job
Recruitment service and e-newsletters
Assist with managing software subscriptions and accounts with external platforms.

Data and reporting
Maintain attendance and event data and evaluation records on an on
- going basis

Assist with gathering, organising and sharing communications and attendee data for internal and external reporting, including data inputting and processing as required, in line with GDPR and the Data Protection Act.

Organisational development (common to all posts at People Dancing):
Maintain quality in execution and presentation of your work both internally and externally
Work with existing and new information and communication technology and administrative systems, contributing to the development of these as appropriate
Participate in the organisation's Staff Development and Appraisal activities
Undertake your work with regard to the organisation's Health and Safety policies
Carry out your duties with an understanding of and commitment to the organisation's Equal Opportunities policy and Access, Equity and Inclusion strategies

Undertake other duties as reasonably requested to achieve the purpose and aims of both this post and the organisation generally.


Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 24 months

Part-time hours: 17.5 per week


Salary:
£21,000.00 per year
