We are excited to be recruiting for a part time
Customer Liaison Officer (20 hrs per week) on a 6 month contract to join our response and maintenance business based in Stoke-on-Trent.


This is an invaluable role that will be vital in ensuring Ian Williams continues to work in partnership with the client, to ensure we continue to deliver an excellent service, through collaboration and communication.

The Customer Liaison Officer role:


  • As Customer Liaison Officer, you will support in the successful delivery of response and maintenance work for our established housing client, working within the clients office, with our team.
  • You will be responsible for the collation, management and feedback of customer compliments and complaints, fully supported by an operational team of Contract Managers and a Business Manager
  • You will be an integral part of complex works management, being the first point of contact for residents, working closely with Contract Managers to plan, communicate and diarise these works
  • Ensuring residents are kept informed of the progress of various works and advising them of changes via telephone and other appropriate communication methods.
  • Maintaining fantastic relationships with our client, resolving day to day queries and facilitating communications between our internal departments and managing escalation matters
  • Work closely with the Business Manager, Contracts Manager and IW Hub to ensure that we achieve and report timely and accurate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Form strong relationships with tenant groups and tenant representatives, listening and implementing feedback to improve our Customer Service and forging links within the local communities.
  • Be an active participant in toolbox talks with the operational team, to feedback service improvements and good practice, with a drive to continuous improvement.

What will you bring as a Customer Liaison Officer?

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to be open, honest and firm where appropriate.
  • Experience within a customer service focussed role,
    for a property services contractor or similar is preferred, however, similar backgrounds with transferrable customer service skills will be considered.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability t analyse, prioritise and react quickly to issues as they arise whilst seeing them through to completion and resolution.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft (Word and Outlook)
