Well Being Coordinator:


Working Hours:
Full time hours


Hours: 37.5 per week (Including alternate weekends)

Rate of Pay:
£11.00 to £15.00 (according to qualifications and experience)


Car Driver preferable due to location.

Locations:




  • Somerhill Residential Care Home, Little Somerford, Nr Malmesbury, Chippenham, Wiltshire SN15 5BH.

JobRole:


  • Develops friendly and respectful relationships with Residents and their relatives.
  • Enables Residents to maintain their wellbeing by ensuring that theirsocial and leisure needs are metaccording to their individual care plans, habits, and lifestyles.
  • Facilitates Group Events and Activities according to Residents interests and preferences.
  • Leads and manages a team of Hospitality Assistants.

About the role

  • Creates and evolves personalised activities schedules for Residents according to their interests and preferences;
  • Implements personalised activities schedules for Residents according to their interests and preferences;
  • Organizes weekly group activities for Residents in the activity areas;
  • Organizes weekly group activities for Residents in the activity areas;
  • Facilitates social links between the Residents, relatives, friends, and the local community.

Criteria for Well Being Coordinator

  • Creativity, enthusiasm, patience, and empathy.
  • The ability to work independently using own initiative.
  • The ability to manages and involve other staff members in Residents social interests.
  • Have a genuine interest in the leisure needs of the Residents and have excellent listening skills so that:
  • Residents' individual interests can be established.
  • Their life history can be used to identify their past experiences and talents.
  • Excellent communication skills to assist the participation of less responsive Residents.
  • The ability to motivate Residents who are reluctant to participate
  • Some experience in working in leadership or supervising role is preferred, but not essential.
  • Some experience of working with the elderly or in a caring environment is preferred, but not essential
