Description

To be trained in technical and core skills to enable handling claims arising from responsible class of business (and arising from other classes where appropriate as per business requirements), from FNOL to settlement, with due consideration of subrogation/contribution where appropriate, in order to ensure consistent delivery of superior level of claims service and proactive claims resolution.


To learn how to provide consistent delivery of a first-class claims experience to clients, brokers and internal stakeholders in adherence with all MS Amlin policies, procedures, controls and our claims philosophy.


Job Description:


  • To learn how to actively monitor claims and be trained to create 'best estimate' reserves, how to proactively resolve claims so that they are settled promptly with a tight control of costs throughout lifecycle of a claim
  • To learn about all claims handling responsibilities and what is required to adhere to MS Amlin procedures, controls and Lloyd's/FCA/PRA/J-SOX regulatory requirements and individual performance results in green Claims KPIs (key performance indicators)
  • To build strong relationships and work together with responsible underwriters to create a compelling proposition to attract and retain desired business and provide support, as required, to our client partners
  • To learn and work with colleagues in all other departments within MS Amlin who are involved in claims handling process and controls e.g. Finance, Outwards Reinsurance and Compliance
  • To build and strengthen relationships with peers, brokers and service providers (TPAs, coverholders, adjusters, lawyers etc) in the market.
  • To learn about delegated claims authority processes and procedures to ensure all delegated parties handle claims according to our claims philosophy (as an extension of our team), under agreed service level agreements and in adherence to all procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • To proactively achieve Claims strategic objectives and participate in business modernization to transform current claims proposition towards our vision for a future claims service proposition
  • To act as ambassador of our company, raising our profile in the market (and at individual level) and proactively strengthening our claims reputation

  • GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent at grade 5 or above
  • A'Level results in A-C range
