The starting salary for this role is £46,634 per annum for working 36 hours per week. This is a will be based with the Learning Disability and Autism OT Team at Fairmount House, Leatherhead, Surrey.


We are looking for an
Advanced Practitioner (Assistant Team Manager equivalent scale) who is a specialist in the field of
Occupational Therapy and can demonstrate a high level of understanding and commitment to strength-basedpractice and the personalisation agenda.

This new, challenging but exciting hybrid role will give you the opportunity to provide clinical supervision to our occupational therapists in the team while at the same time maintaining your CPD by managing a smallcaseload.

You will also be able to demonstrate an applied knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and NHS Continuing Healthcare National Framework.

You will also have excellent Safeguarding knowledge and skills.


In this role, you will support the team manager to deliver high quality personalised adult social care with a clear strength-based agenda.

Confident in making sound practice decisions that respond flexibly and quickly to changing needs and emergencies thatarise in the community, you will also be able to develop effective partnership relationships with individuals, carers and families including forming positive relationships with other professionals, particularly in the NHS.

You will also be committed to promoting innovation and introducing new ways of working from recognised sites of excellence.

  • You are a qualified Occupational Therapist, have current professional HCPC registration and hold significant post qualification experience at a senior occupational therapist level.
  • Experience in leading and developing (incl. professional clinical supervision) occupational therapists and less experienced colleagues within the service to improve practice and work collaboratively.
  • Providing highly specialist advice to occupational therapists, healthcare professionals, other agencies, service users and carers/relatives.
  • Competent in the use of a wide range of equipment and provide advanced clinical reasoning to complex solutions.
  • Competent in areas of moving and handling, DFG processes, seating.
  • Advanced Occupational Therapy skills for working with clients with a range of complex conditions and a resource to advise, train and teach specialist skills to colleagues within the wider therapy team.
  • A willingness and ability to travel across Surrey in accordance with the demands of the work and job profile.
    Applicants must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car.
