Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced in vivo scientist to contribute to an ongoing research project based in the Ottewell laboratory for cancer induced bone disease, at the University of Sheffield.

The project is focused on combining IL-1B targeted therapies with standard of care drugs in ER+ve and triple negative models of breast cancer and bone metastasis.

This project is being carried out in collaboration with the MRC and with Professor Janet Brown (Clinical Oncologist) with the aim of translating results obtained from this study into an imminent clinical trial.

You will work with the principle and co-investigator to perform experiments using a complement of model systems, imaging and immunological profiling techniques to establish effects of combining these drugs on tumour growth and systemic/tumour associated immune regulation.

The project will initially be funded for 1-year, with the intention to obtain further funding.
