Description

SMART Education recruits into Teaching Jobs in Birmingham and across the West Midlands, and into Home Tutor jobs across the UK.

An immediate opportunity has arisen for a bus guide at a school located in Solihull, with the pick-up and drop-off location being in Kitts Green.

The school provides a comprehensive and ambitious curriculum for young people aged between 11-14 years old, with a focus on unlocking their potential.

Many of the pupils have experienced disruptions and challenges in their education, and the school is dedicated to re-engaging them in learning and preparing them for successful returns to education.

As a bus guide, your primary responsibilities will be to ensure the safe and orderly transportation of pupils to and from school.

This will include assisting children boarding and disembarking vehicles when appropriate, ensuring the correct handover of pupils, reporting any problems or incidents to the pastoral team, and securing personal property of the children.

You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records, including confidential information such as names, telephone numbers, and addresses.

In addition, you will need to have the ability to work with pupils who may present challenging behaviour, respond appropriately to emergency and non-emergency situations, assist with loading and unloading the bus, and enforce conduct and safety rules during transportation.

If you are a reliable and responsible individual who enjoys working with young people, this is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact and contribute to the education and well-being of pupils in Solihull.
